Have you ever heard about someone getting lost in the woods, or escaping from a fire, and thought: “what would I do in THAT situation?” There are some basic
strategies to remember which will help you to get out of a number of sticky situations, and to minimise danger or injury. The first strategy in ANY emergency
situation is to stay calm. Even in time-sensitive situations, take a moment to breathe deeply and calm your nerves. When you’re calm you can think clearly and
conserve energy.
It’s not good to worry about emergencies on a day-to-day basis, but a little preparation now can save a lot of trouble later. It never hurts to be prepared, and with
